Tasting notes:
Pale straw with green hues. Exotic complex aromas explode out of the glass. Oyster shell, pink grapefruit, peach fuzz and white flowers are complimented by hints of sea spray and gun flint. Tension and texture abound with a burst of pithy citrus notes. As you savour the wine the flavours evolve from citrus and grapefruit to a wonderful natural mineral acidity. Power and elegance combine to create a wine with exceptional ageability.

More Burgundian in style when compared to this producer's other top Chard, “Suckfizzle,” the rich nougat, toasted cashew and struck match reductive characters are countered by cool maritime notes of salted melon and seaweed. The palate is tightly wound with a powerful ping of acidity despite the weight and texture, which creep in slowly. A wine of power, length and poise, this should age beautifully for at least another decade. — Christina Pickard
