96 Points The Vintage Journal (Andrew Caillard MW & Ken Garrett)
Deep crimson. Intense raspberry, black strap liquorice aromas with mocha notes. Fresh ripe blackberry praline flavours, persistent aldente tannins and complexing mocha, marzipan, roasted walnut notes. Chocolaty/ grippy at the finish with seductive sweet fruit notes. Less is more here.

96 Points Wine Orbit (Sam Kim)
A terrific expression of the variety, showing dark fruit intensity, rich floral, warm spice and toasty oak aromas on the nose, followed by a graceful palate offering outstanding weight and silky flow. Plump and mouth-filling with harmony and structure, finishing splendidly long and sturdy

95 Points Decanter (David Sly)
A blend of fruit sourced from multiple Barossa sub-regions provides a luscious meld, with the comforting embrace of rich red berries carrying an earthy swagger, complemented by lively mulberries and blackberries, piqued by a purple perfume of violets and lavender. The expansive, luxurious mid-palate is all about relaxing in the comfort zone, with supple textures framed by subtle oak, clipped black tea tannins and a pinch of black pepper. A very attractive blend.

95 Points Halliday (Dave Brookes)
Deep crimson in the glass with aromas of macerated doris plum, black cherry and blackberry fruits, cut with hints of baking spices, licorice, dark chocolate, cedar, panforte, pan juices and earth. Weighty, with impressive depth and ferrous-edged tannin grip, fading with a crème-de-cassis-like intensity to the fruit

95 Points James Suckling (Ryan Montgomery)
Brooding aromas of blackcurrants, mulberry bush, cassia bark and wild blackberries. The palate is full-bodied with fine tannins, bright acidity and a generous mouthfeel, showing fresh notes of blood plums, sarsaparilla, violets, graphite and pepper. Very giving and generous, with a beautiful aromatic lift.
