Tasting notes:

Pale straw. A pure expression of Dog Point Sauvignon with lifted aromatics of granny smith apple, and lemon rind as well as floral tones of orange blossoms and elderflower burst from the glass. Bright citrus flavours from an elegant year, followed by saline acidity washing across the palate, leaving subtle tropical tones unfurling on the finish.

5 Stars, Michael Cooper (2022 Vintage)
"Hand-picked at several sites in the Wairau Valley, it is lees-aged in tanks but handled without oak. The 2022 vintage is a bright, light lemon/green, mouthfilling wine, with punchy, youthful, passionfruit/lime flavours, crisp, dry and lingering. Ripely herbaceous, with excellent intensity, it should be at its best mid-2023+. Certified organic."

"Really fantastic bouquet with aromas of fresh, ripe citrus and white fleshed fruits, plenty of fresh and dried herb and a tropical fruit moment with a green papaya and mango. Delicious on the palate, but also very taut and youthful, no mistaking the acid line, this will calm over the next year allowing more of the fruit to show. Fresh herb and white fleshed fruits along with pink grapefruit and a stony mineral quality all have a voice. A wine that needs some time so I suggest you cellar it and enjoy from late 2023 through 2027+."

"Nettles, thyme, green apples and grapefruit on the nose. Medium bodied, sharp and clean cut with a refreshing core of citrus and green fruit. Vivid. From organically grown grapes."
