Tasting notes:
Dark ruby with a bright purple edge, Estate Vineyards Merlot/Cabernets ’19 has ripe raspberry and blackberry on the nose and a palate that unfolds with Black Doris plum, cherry syrup, mint and cocoa-powder. Brambly, ripe, cabernet fruit sits atop soft, savoury tannins. Classically inviting, Estate Vineyards Merlot/Cabernets ’19 is complex and instantly-appealing at the same time.

4 Stars, Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide
The very age-worthy 2019 vintage (4.5*) is a great buy. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it was matured for nine months in French oak barrels (partly new). Deeply coloured, it is fragrant, mouthfilling and fruit-packed, with strong, vibrant blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, fresh acidity, and obvious potential. Best drinking 2023+.
