Tasting notes:
Our Tatou vineyard has stony and free-draining soils, with a mixture of large rocks and fine gravels. This 2013 Pinot Noir has aromas of wild hedgerow fruit, with undertones of spice, earth and dried herb. The palate is concentrated and dense, with finely-grained tannins giving a robust structure to softly rounded and fragrant rosehip and bramble. Elegant and expressive, the finish is long and savoury. Drink now until 2028.

95 points, Bob Campbell
Silken-textured pinot noir with taut cherry, plum, violet and Oriental spice characters. The wine opened up as it sat in the glass and will clearly benefit from decanting or aerating. Appealing purity with complex layers of flavour on its lingering finish. Impressive. 2/3/2017 Drink 2017 to 2023

Pale ruby colored, the 2013 Tatou Pinot Noir has a somewhat restrained, earth and mossy bark-laced nose to begin, opening to a core of red currants and cranberries with meat/game nuances and a waft of yeast extract. Light to medium-bodied, the palate reveals lovely harmony with delicate red berry and earth flavors supported by fine tannins and finishing with an herbal lift.
