The Ormanni Chianti and Chianti Classico are sincere, soil-driven wines, expressive of the Barberino Val d’Elsa area, where Sangiovese takes on a brooding, austere character, while still maintaining a generous, fruity core.
Tasting notes:
A bright and savoury expression of Sangiovese (95%) and Merlot (5%); the wine is filled with tart and ripe red cherries, red currants and gooseberries. There are notes of black tea, snap twig, leather and cured meat to perfectly complement the fruit. The wine is dry, medium bodied, with nicely integrated tannins and refreshing acidity.
