"The Paolo Conterno 2021 Barolo Riva del Bric has a bright bouquet with pretty clarity and purity of aromas. You taste the wine's Nebbiolo character with wild berry, dark currant and blue flower. This wine is also recognized by a hint of something metallic or sanguine like rusty nail or shaved pencil. This site sits at a cool 300 to 350 meters in elevation, and the vines are 25 years old. The wine ages in botte grande for 36 months, and 20,000 bottles were made."

"An intense and vibrant Barolo with aromas of dried flowers, blood orange peel, sweet violets, earth, minerals and overall elegance. Full-bodied on the palate, it shows velvety and dusty tannins, refreshing acidity and a long, juicy finish that's stern yet balanced. Try after 2025."

"Pale ruby. Deep, exotic spice and ripe red-cherry-fruit nose with a hint of cinnamon bark. Super-attractive juicy cherry-fruit palate with cinnamon touches and long, finely ground tannins. Hedonistic. (WS)"
