Tasting notes:
Vibrant dark red. A lifted combination of red fruits with fresh spice notes of pepper and
cedar. The bright fruits of damson and red cherry are complemented by a hint of
classic Grenache white pepper. These notes are joined by deeper and darker Shiraz
fruit to offer a wine at once refreshing and intense.

Dense aromas of crushed red and black cherries, plums, rose petals and moss, Full-bodied with soft tannins. A wash of well-ripened fruit spreads out over the palate. Nicely concentrated. Textured and lingering finish. Drink or hold.

I’m a purist and prefer either Shiraz or Grenache – not blended. However, there is no doubt that together the two varieties make for lighthearted pleasure. And that is the case here with the 2020 Wallace Shiraz-Grenache. There’s a blue, boysenberry character here, juicy, raspberry, black tea and peppercorns. Delicious. Drink Date 2022 – 2032.
